We're here for fun, and we're here to meet people who have bought something into our lives and our fandom. Who've bought a world or a new view of our own world to widen our eyes and see that all out there isn't quite as bad as things are. Conventions are non profit, meaning that the money they pull in mearly goes towards covering the costs of the guests and the convention itself, the excess is where we give something back. Each year a convention is run, its excess is given to a charity of it choice, ours is The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind. Familiar to those of you who attended Conquest II we've choosen this chairty for its amazing work this the sight impared people of New Zealand.
